Don the eel scientist
Today a eel scientist came to our school to talk to us about eels. He taught us a lot of facts!
- They can swim backwards
- They grow up to 2 meters
- The ear bone is used to tell how old they are
- They eat ducklings/crabs
- Eels don't like sunlight
- Big eels are mostly females
- If it has spots it is from Australia
- They don't use much energy
- They have a wonderful sense of smell
- They are cannibals
